The intersection of art and space is where creativity truly thrives, and this will be showcased at the upcoming Bringing Spaces to Life Through Contemporary Art & Design event hosted by Artroom London. Saskia Kate Interiors is excited to be part of this event, especially as a contributor to the “Art at the Start” panel. The event will celebrate how art and design can work hand-in-hand to shape the environments we live and work in, offering fresh insights into how art can transform spaces and spark creativity.
The Event: A Celebration of Art and Space
Taking place in the vibrant heart of London, the Bringing Spaces to Life event will bring together artists, designers, and art lovers for an evening filled with lively discussions, innovative ideas, and stunning art. Saskia Kate Interiors is thrilled to be involved, and we’re especially looking forward to our Founder, Rebecca Edmunds, contributing to the panel discussions. The event promises to be an inspiring experience, with curated displays that show how art can breathe life into both residential and commercial spaces. The focus will be on the importance of integrating art into design from the very beginning, creating spaces that are not just functional but also resonate emotionally.
Rebecca has proudly collaborated with Artroom London to place paintings featured in the exhibition in virtual environments to showcase the importance of considering art at the beginning of the design process. Leveraging AI tools has proven to be an innovative way to visualise how pieces of art enhance a particular space, and is a creative way to collaborate with art advisors such as Vanita Barany of Artroom London.
One of the highlights of the event will be a series of talks and discussions that explore both the practical and philosophical sides of art’s role in shaping our surroundings. These conversations are expected to range from the technicalities of selecting and installing art to the broader impact that art can have on well-being and productivity.
Art at the Start
One of the standout moments of the event will be the “Art at the Start” talk, which will dive into the key role art plays in the design process. Saskia Kate Interiors is especially honoured to be part of this panel, where we’ll be sharing our thoughts and experiences. This talk will explore the idea that art should be considered from the very beginning of any design project—not just added as an afterthought.
This approach is exactly how we at Saskia Kate Interiors like to work. We believe that starting with art allows us to create design concepts that are more cohesive and impactful. Art can set the tone for a space, influence colour schemes, and even guide the flow and functionality of a room. By thinking about art from the get-go, we’re able to design environments that not only look beautiful but also evoke the right emotions for the people who use them.
The talk will also shine a light on the collaborative process between artists and designers. We’ll be encouraging designers to connect with artists early on in the design process, so that together, they can come up with innovative solutions that result in truly unique spaces.
Whether you're an artist, architect, interior designer, or simply an art enthusiast, this event promises to be a source of inspiration. As we keep exploring the connection between art and space, events like this are essential for sparking fresh ideas and expanding the possibilities of design. Don’t miss the chance to visit the exhibition or register for the "Art at the Start" talk to join us.
